Yaks, found only in the Himalayas, 3000 meters above sea level, produce milk that is high in nutritive value. This is because the yaks graze on unpolluted grasslands and pristine Himalayan waters which are imbued with high medicinal value. The cheese made from this milk, also known as Churpi, is collected by local yak breeders and contains a high level of protein, calcium, amino acids and Omega-3.
Churpi is a centuries-old traditional recipe from the Himalayas that has been preserved by Dogsee Chew. Uncorrupted by modern interventions, the Dogsee Chew products are a 100% natural treat, with no added preservatives. It is prepared by boiling and painstakingly stirring the yak milk till it is thickened and condensed. Subsequently, it is cooled down to make the hardened cheese.
After measuring the wind conditions, this cheese is then smoke-dried to perfection over 28 days under perfect temperature for extra hardness and rich cheesy flavour.
The dedication and love of more than 7000 farmers from 150 villages in the Himalayas goes into the making of these 100% natural, grain-free treats which are then sourced all over the world.
Dogsee Chew are 100% natural dog treats made from yak cheese, also known as ‘Churpi’, a staple food of the Himalayan natives. These Himalayan dog chews are free from grain, gluten, preservatives and artificial flavouring, and are completely human grade.
Dogsee Chew was born when founder Bhupendra Khanal was on a trek in The Himalayas and came across stray dogs, finding them in their optimum health as a result of being fed Churpi. Being from Nepal, he had known about Churpi all his life but never thought it could make up for such healthy dog chews.
Dogs have always managed to secure a soft corner in Bhupi’s mind, and to be able to do something for them has always been a dream for him. With the aim to provide the best nutrition to dogs, the most loyal companion to mankind, Bhupi got down to an extensive research and at the end of it all, Dogsee Chew was born!
